• We started this program to discuss people who are working to popularize the Marathi language and literature.
• The program's theme is to chat informally with these people and ask them questions about their work and life experiences.

Episode 3: With Dr. Saurabh Dube

Dr. Dube is an associate professor in the physics department. He is an active researcher in the area of particle physics and working in collaboration with CERN. You can find the video recording of this episode here.

He is Marathi Youtuber, travel blogger, cartoonist. He works with Bhadipa and Bha2pa, which are very popular Marathi Youtube channels. You can find the video recording of this episode here.

Episode 1: With Alka Vibhas

She is a founder of one of the most popular websites of Marathi songs: Aathvanitil Gaani. You can find the video recording of this episode here.

1. Marathi poem recitation session (Kavyavachan) was organized in September 2020 through an online medium.
2. It gave people a platform to express their feelings in the form of poems. People came up with their self-composed lyrics or recited poems by their favorite poet.
3. Some of these self-composed poems are posted in our blog section .

Considering the pandemic situation, we celebrated Omkarotsav 2020 virtually with different competitions and events.

1. Cultural program: Enthusiastic performers from Navarasa and Aroha performed their art for the cultural program. We also shared it with IISER Berhampur for the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat program.
2. Mythology hunt(in collaboration with IPLUG)
3. Photography competition: The competition was based on photos of the decorations related festival. You can find some of the best pictures in our gallery.
4. Omkarotsav Meet: In the online Omkarotsav meet, people from different states participated and shared their experiences of Ganeshotsav from their states.

1. It's fun to learn the language of the place where you live, it gives you a segway into the local culture, and it will generally enhance your experience.
2. We started Marathi Classes to help people to enjoy local culture.
3. We took classes every Saturday, followed by activity/discussion on Sunday. 
4. In the sessions, we covered basic Marathi grammar (tenses, vibhakti, conjunctions, etc.) and some activities (small conversations, description of pictures, listening to Marathi videos).
5. We have started the second batch. You can find details on our website dedicated to Marathi Classes.

1. 27th February is celebrated as Marathi Din on the birth anniversary of legendary poet Kusumagraj.
2. On 27 Feb 2021, we organised a talk titled महती माय मराठीची delivered by Prof Aravind Natu.
3. We also had a an informal literature meet where students spoke about their favourite poets and writers.
